Lufthansa Flight Returns to Frankfurt Following Bomb Threat, Denied Hyderabad Landing🛫

Lufthansa Flight Makes U-Turn After Bomb Threat, Denied Landing in Hyderabad 🚫✈️

Scheduled Journey Disrupted🛫

A Lufthansa flight bound for Hyderabad was forced to return to Frankfurt Airport in Germany after it failed to secure landing clearance due to a bomb threat.

Flight Details📍

Flight LH752 had departed from Frankfurt and was scheduled to arrive at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport early Monday. However, mid-route, the aircraft made a U-turn and returned to its point of origin.

Official Statements🔍

“We did not receive a permit to land in Hyderabad, and that’s why the aircraft returned,” news agency ANI quoted Lufthansa Airlines as saying.

A senior official at Hyderabad airport confirmed the diversion, explaining that the bomb threat was received while the plane was still outside Indian airspace. As a precaution, the flight did not enter Indian territory and was rerouted back to Frankfurt.

Conflicting Reasons Raise Questions❓

The unexpected reversal has raised questions, as Lufthansa cited the lack of landing clearance, while local airport authorities attributed the incident directly to the bomb threat.

Passenger and Threat Details🔒

No information about the nature of the threat or details about the passengers on board has been released yet.

Similar Incident Earlier This Week⚠️

This incident comes just days after a similar scare on June 13, when Air India Flight AI 379, travelling from Phuket, Thailand, to New Delhi, was forced to make an emergency landing shortly after takeoff due to a bomb threat.

The Air India aircraft, which had departed at 9:30 am, was quickly grounded as airport authorities implemented emergency safety protocols.

Ongoing Investigation🔎

Authorities are investigating both incidents, which have heightened security concerns for international flights arriving in India.
