🏛️ NEW DELHI: The Bharatiya Jan-ata Party (BJP)-led Delhi gov-ernment marked its first 100 days in office on Friday with a show of confidence and pur-pose, unveiling a 22-page work-book that seeks to define its early imprint on the Capital.
-
🗣️ Chief minister Rekha Gupta called the 100-day mark a mile-stone of "decisive and impact-ful" governance, asserting that every day of the administration so far had been devoted to the service of Delhi's 20 million res-idents.
-
📘 The workbook, she said, was a record not just of prom-ises made, but of promises kept.
-
🏫 Gupta said the government would soon bring in an ordi-nance to regulate private school fees, with the Assembly session expected to be held in July.
-
📅 A public event has been scheduled at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on May 31, where the government will showcase its progress and seek feedback from citizens.
-
🧾 Unveiled at the Delhi Secre-tariat in the presence of Cabinet ministers Ashish Sood, Kapil Mishra, and Ravinder Indraraj Singh, the workbook outlines a raft of initiatives rolled out since the BJP assumed power in Feb-ruary.
-
🏗️ For a party returning to power in the city after over 27 years, the event is not just sym-bolic—it appears intended as a statement of intent.
-
📖 The workbook, titled Kaam Karne Wali Sarkar-100 Din Seva Ke, details key initiatives across the health, education, infrastructure and welfare sec-tors.
-
💰 These include a 1 lakh crore allocation for Ayushman Bharat Yojana, a ₹5,100 crore provision for ₹2,500 monthly assistance to poor women, and the tabling of CAG reports to promote transpar-ency.
-
🏥 Rollout of Vay Vandana Yojana, a free health care programme for senior citizens.
-
🏨 Setting up of 1,139 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs initiated, 300 dialysis machines installed in government hospitals, and 75 CM Shree Schools approved.
-
🚌 Other measures: Cabinet clearance of a bill to regulate private school fees, flagging off 460 DEVI buses for last-mile connectivity, approval of 70 mechanical sweeping machines, and launch of a special sanitation drive.
-
🗳️ Gupta added the workbook will be shared at public meetings in all 70 Assembly constituen-cies and wards over the next 10 days, where leaders will collect feedback from citizens.
-
♻️ "...Initiatives like expansion of Ayushman Bharat scheme, Yamuna cleaning campaign, and Mahila Samridhi Yojana reflect the direction of these 100 days..."
-
📚 "This is not just a 100-day report, but a document of our commitment to change," the CM said on X.
-
📈 "This workbook is a living document of Delhi's journey of development... not a report card, but a dynamic account—new work will continue to be added to it," she said.
-
💬 Gupta launched a critique of past governments: "They sought fame, we deliver. They indulged in luxuries, we serve. They decorated palaces with corrup-tion; we shape Delhi with integrity."
-
🕒 Described 24x7 work ethic as its "biggest achieve-ment", asserting "working honestly 24x7 for the people" is a new model of governance.
-
🤝 "Both central and state gov in unison as a 'double engine government' to serve the people... under leadership of Minister Narendra Modi, Delhi is making continuous strides."
-
❌ Delhi Congress dismissed the celebration. Delhi Congress president Devender Yadav called the 100 days "totally disappointing".
-
🧾 "Private schools kept hiking fees unchecked... promised education bill is still missing," Yadav said.
-
🛢️ Promises like subsidised LPG cylinders and free cylinders on Holi/Diwali still unfulfilled, said Yadav.
-
📉 AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj called the workbook a "false report card", questioning status of flagship promises.
-
❓ "Where is the ₹22,500 promised to women? When will sacked bus marshals get jobs back? When will fee hikes in private schools be rolled back?" he asked.
