Randeep Malik, a United States-based transporter and a suspected close aide of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, has come under the scanner of Lisbon Police after allegedly opening fire on rival gang members outside a warehouse in Odivelas, Portugal, on Wednesday. Senior officers of the Delhi Police confirmed the development on Thursday.

A Bold Claim: Responsibility Boasted on Facebook😲

Malik, who has long been wanted by both the Delhi Police and the National Investigation Agency (NIA), did not shy away from admitting his role. In a bold Facebook post shortly after the shooting, he openly claimed responsibility, boasting that the attack was carried out by him along with members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

Malik’s Criminal Trail: A History of Violence📜

According to Delhi Police officials, Malik is implicated in more than six criminal cases. These include issuing threats to celebrities, running extortion rackets, and masterminding the murder of gym owner Nadir Shah in Delhi’s Greater Kailash-I area last year.

His latest social media post directly referenced the shooting in Portugal. He wrote: "Today... the firing at Odivelas was done by me and the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Romi and Prince gang members, who are involved in illegal activities, should stop... otherwise bullets will follow."

A Global Criminal Network: Operations from the US🌐

Investigators revealed that Malik, who owns a transport company in the United States and has been living there for nearly a decade, was briefly detained by US immigration authorities last month but later released.

The latest incident in Portugal is being seen as a significant development — possibly the first major gang-related confrontation involving Indian criminal syndicates on European soil.

Ties with Lawrence Bishnoi & Goldy Brar🔗

Delhi Police sources added that Malik was allegedly involved in planning two explosions in Chandigarh in November 2024. He remains a key associate of Lawrence Bishnoi, who is currently lodged in Gujarat’s Sabarmati Jail.

Last December, Bishnoi’s associate Hashim Baba admitted during a judicial confession that Bishnoi was in regular phone contact with Malik to coordinate gang activities, despite being behind bars.

Malik is also wanted in an NIA case linked to Goldy Brar. Together, their networks have expanded their operations across borders, claiming responsibility for several high-profile shootings abroad, including attacks targeting the residences of singers Gippy Grewal and AP Dhillon in Canada, and gunfire outside comedian Kapil Sharma’s café.

With the Portugal attack, law enforcement agencies are now treating Malik as a transnational threat. Delhi Police confirmed that they have already shared intelligence inputs with international counterparts.
