Tragedy at Kalkaji Temple: Sewadaar Beaten to Death in Violent Clash🙏

Police said they received a control room call about the incident around 9:30 pm. The deceased was identified as Yogendra Singh, a native of Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh, who had been serving at the temple for nearly 15 years.
How the Dispute Began⚡
According to eyewitnesses, the fight started around 9 pm when a group of 10–15 men demanded ‘chunniprasad’ (headscarf and food offering). When Singh asked them to wait, they allegedly became aggressive, threatened him, and later attacked him with iron rods and sticks.
Eyewitness Account👀
A fellow sewadaar, Raju, told ANI, “They took him from the Dharamshala and started beating him. He asked them to wait for prasad, but they always behaved aggressively whenever they visited the temple.”
Attack and Death🚑
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southeast) Hemant Tiwari said the accused first attacked Singh with blows and then with sticks. He was rushed to AIIMS Trauma Centre, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Arrest and Investigation🚓
One of the attackers, Atul Pandey (30), a resident of Dakshinpuri, was caught on the spot by locals and handed over to the police. The remaining accused are currently absconding.

A case has been registered at the Kalkaji Police Station under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including:
