Accused Vikas Shot Dead In Police Encounter🔫

One of the accused in the case, Vikas, was shot dead in a police encounter last night in Patna’s Malsalami area. According to police, Vikas was with the shooter, Umesh, when Mr Khemka was gunned down right outside his residence.

Main Shooter Umesh Arrested👮‍♂️

Earlier, the police arrested Umesh, identified as the main shooter in the murder. Mr Khemka, who owned Magadh Hospital and multiple petrol pumps, was killed late on Friday night. He was sitting in his car outside his home when the assailant approached, opened fire, and fled.

Family Faced Tragedy Before😢

Notably, seven years ago, Mr Khemka’s son was also murdered in Hajipur over a land dispute.

Arrests So Far👥

So far, two people have been taken into custody in connection with the killing. Besides Umesh, police have detained another individual suspected of hiring the shooter for the contract killing.

“Both suspects have been arrested in Patna by a joint team of the Special Task Force and Patna Police. The investigation is underway, and further details will be shared in due course,” a senior officer said.
