2006 Mumbai Train Blasts: Bombay High Court Acquits All 12 Convicted🚨

On July 11, 2006, a series of seven bomb blasts ripped through Mumbai local trains within just 11 minutes, killing 189 people and injuring over 800 others. 🕯️

The High Court bench of Justice Anil Kilor and Justice Shyam Chandak set aside the trial court's verdict, stating that the prosecution had "utterly failed" to prove the charges.

"The prosecution has utterly failed to prove the case against the accused. It is hard to believe that the accused committed the crime. Hence, their conviction is quashed and set aside," the bench observed.

  • Witness statements were questioned as it was implausible to recall a suspect’s identity after 100 days.
  • Inconsistencies were noted in the investigation.
  • Explosives, arms, and maps recovered were not proven to be connected to the blasts.
