Raja Raghuvanshi Murder: Kin Want Narco Test on Wife Sonam, Her Lover to Expose Entire Truth🧪🔪

Brother of Indore Businessman Murdered on Honeymoon Demands Narco Test for Prime Accused📰

Indore, June 13, 2025 — Sachin Raghuvanshi, elder brother of Raja Raghuvanshi — an Indore-based transport businessman who was brutally murdered during his honeymoon in Meghalaya — has demanded that a narco analysis test be conducted on the prime accused Sonam and Raj Kushwaha to uncover the “entire truth” behind this shocking case.

Five Arrested, SIT Probing the Case👮

Five people, including Raja’s wife Sonam (25) and her alleged lover Raj Kushwaha (20), have been arrested for their suspected involvement in Raja’s murder last month. All accused are in Meghalaya Police custody while a Special Investigation Team (SIT) investigates the crime.

Wife Accused of Orchestrating Husband’s Murder💔

Sonam is accused of planning her husband’s murder during their honeymoon with the help of Kushwaha and three hired killers — a crime that has stunned the entire nation.

Brother Demands Narco Analysis🗣️

“We want the Meghalaya Police to conduct a narco test — also known as a truth serum test — on Sonam and Kushwaha so that the complete truth comes out,” Sachin Raghuvanshi told PTI in Indore.

He claimed that both accused are misleading investigators by blaming each other as the mastermind. “It seems Sonam and Kushwaha are colluding to misdirect the investigation,” he said. Sachin believes more people may be involved and could be exposed through narco analysis.

What is a Narco Test?🧪

In a narco analysis test, a drug called sodium pentothal is administered to put the subject in a hypnotic state where their imagination is suppressed, prompting them to reveal factual information about an incident.

Doubts on Sonam’s Family🤔

Sachin also raised suspicions about Sonam’s family, especially her mother, alleging they may have known about her alleged affair with Kushwaha before the wedding but proceeded under family pressure.

He demanded that the case be tried in a fast-track court and those found guilty receive “double life imprisonment.”

How the Murder Was Planned📍

East Khasi Hills Superintendent of Police Vivek Syiem said the conspiracy was hatched in Indore before the wedding on May 11, with Raj Kushwaha identified as the mastermind and Sonam consenting to the plan.

After their wedding, Raja and Sonam travelled to Sohra (Cherrapunjee) in Meghalaya’s East Khasi Hills. They were reported missing on May 23. Raja’s body was found in a gorge near Weisawdong Falls on June 2. Sonam resurfaced nearly 1,200 km away in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghazipur, surrendering to police on June 9.

Who Else Was Involved?🔪

Alongside Sonam and Kushwaha, three alleged contract killers — Vishal Singh Chauhan, Akash Rajput, and Anand Kurmi — were arrested.

“The three youths were friends, and one of them is Raj’s cousin. It was not a typical contract killing; they killed Raja as a favour for their friend Raj,” SP Syiem said.

According to police, Kushwaha paid the trio ₹50,000 to cover travel and other costs. The planning started in February in Indore, with detailed plotting on how Sonam would disappear after Raja’s murder.
