💔 Four Years Later, Justice Begins: FIR Filed in Delhi Teen’s Suicide Case⚖️

• 🏛️ NEW DELHI: More than four years after a 17-year-old government school student died by suicide at her home in north Delhi's Burari, allegedly after being harassed by her classmates and friends, the Delhi Police have lodged an FIR against five of her friends following a city court's directive.

• ⚖️ The court order, issued on April 26, directed police to investigate the matter and register a case.

• 📄 Following a preliminary inquiry, the five accused have now been booked for abetment to suicide and common intention under relevant sections of the law, police said.

• 💔 According to investigators, the accused allegedly harassed and blackmailed the girl using private photos and videos.

• 🗣️ Her family also alleged that she was physically assaulted.

• 👩‍🎓 The deceased was a Class 12 student at a government school in north Delhi and was working part-time at a dentist's office to support her family.

• 📆 On November 30, 2020, she was found hanging at her home, police said.

• 📝 The FIR, registered on Sunday, is based on a complaint filed by the girl's father.

• 📞 "I spoke to her in the evening over the phone. Around 11.23pm, her friend called me saying she wanted to speak to my daughter. I told her I was busy at work and the conversation ended. When I returned home around 1.30am, I found my daughter hanging. The room was open," the FIR reads.

• 🔍 The FIR further notes that the family suspected the friend who had called the victim's father.

• 🎂 When they contacted her again, she said she only wanted to speak to their daughter about not attending a birthday party.

• 📅 On December 1, the complainant said he spoke to the same friend again.

• 🧏‍♀️ "She knew about the suicide. They had a party on November 29 where something happened. She said a boy had private photos of my daughter and was blackmailing her. She also named two other boys involved in the blackmail. She knew my daughter was being harassed," the FIR states.

• 👮 A senior police officer confirmed that the FIR was registered on the court's order.

• 📱 "We have seized the phones of the victim and the accused. We have some video evidence and have booked all five. Two of the accused are women and three are men. All are above 18 years of age. One of the accused has been apprehended and is being interrogated," officer said.
